In many cases I see that we go crazy and obsess about having more followers, and believing that just having more and more that will be reflected directly in our sales… BIG MISTAKE
It’s true that the more followers we have, the more sales possibilities I’m going to have, but… if I’m not having a “real” and “genuine” relationship with my current followers, I don’t think just having more followers will help me improve sales.
One mistake that many people make (and that I made at some point), is to try to pass from extra interested to customer…
The first thing we must take into account is that everyone who comes for the first time to our brand is a “INTERESTED STRANGER”, which then with a lot of work we must become a friend, that friend would become our potential customer and after maintaining a relationship with my friend, after having a genuine relationship where I interact with him, to EARN his TRUST, once there maybe become a customer.
Now I ask myself… why obsess over wanting to have more and more followers… if with those I have now I can’t have a “friend” relationship, if with those I have I can’t earn their trust…?
Why do I want to have more followers, if I can’t bring anything of value to the current ones?
ALWAYS… it all depends… on who I want to be as a brand and as an entrepreneur… Wanting to have more and more followers can lead to a quick sale … cold … but I will never achieve a long-term relationship with that customer, nor do I think that the customer so remember my brand and continue to keep me in mind …
My advice is very clear! First let’s do focus in creating a relationship with my current followers, even if they are very small, once we begin to have a relationship with them, there we are going to focus on increasing the base of followers.
Because CONFIDENCE is the KEY to win more customers…
I would ask the question the other way around.
Why would I, as a interested stranger in a brand, hire that service, if it is not giving me any value? if I am not trusting you? How do I know that this brand is going to solve my needs?
One as a consumer before buying a product or service, has a whole process until becoming a customer of a brand.
First comes to the brand by a recommendation or a suggestion on the networks, then … if the brand gives us confidence, We feel that meets our needs is approaching the brand little by little.
So, we are ready to make a purchase, that process can take several days, months or years.
In all this process that has one as a consumer is SUUPER important that this brand, little by little is showing me why I should trust it, how it will help me.
If the brand only gets close to me when is interested and does not invest in creating a relationship with me, it is very difficult for me to trust in it, and it is also very difficult for me to remember her when I am ready to make a purchase…
We live in a world saturated with information, surely the post that you make is going to be one of the thousands that your follower sees in the day… then it is fundamental that it is not a post more like any other… but that this post helps me to go creating a relationship, always looking for the interaction with my follower and their confidence.
Do all direct post a sale, offering my services and talking only about me…
Let’s keep in mind that people care very little about who I am… but what really matters is how I can help them and solve their problems.
